Dr. Zafer Dogan is a postdoctoral research associate. His research interests are at the intersection of data processing, inverse problems, and machine learning, but his current work focuses on developing signal and image processing methods in emerging optical imaging modalities using sparse signal models and inverse problems in nonlinear diffusion optical tomography. He received his M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Polytechique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. Dr. Dogan is also jointly affiliated as research associate at Harvard University John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences where his work focuses on online and distributed learning algorithms for large-scale non-convex optimization problems.
